How mobile licensing works.
- 01Texas only issues permits to sell alcohol to brick-and-mortar locations.
- 02To act as a mobile bar, we license your main office in a commercial building — an office park or a public storage unit with 24/7 access.
- 03Once your permit is issued, you can request temporary permits from TABC to cater events around the state. Each permit pertains to the event address.
- 04Send us your business address, or a potential office address, and we'll check if it qualifies.
Permits most
commonly obtained.
- 01Mixed Beverage Permit (MB)Sell full liquor, beer and wine. Food is not more than 40% of total annual revenue; no full kitchen.
- 02Wine and Malt Beverage Retail Dealer's On-Premise Permit (BG)Beer and wine, no distilled spirits. No food sales and no full kitchen.
With all of these you may add a Late Hours Certificate that allows you to sell until 2 am.
