What you need to know.
- 01An E-Cigarette Retailer Permit from the Comptroller of Public accounts is required to sell electronic cigarettes and vaping devices in Texas.
- 02The permit expires May 31st of every even year and must be renewed before that date.
- 03The permit must be displayed at your place of business where customers can see it.
The rules
- You can't sell e-cigarettes to anyone under 21 — check ID.
- Free samples are not allowed
- We file the permit and remind you when it's time to renew
